Caran D Ache pastel pens are available in 84 shades and ideal for making colour sketches in place, ready for later use as a basis for the finished work. When kept sharp, their subtleties can also be used for retouching and work in soft pastel tones along with various techniques for good work done or diluted in water under painting terrain. These professional quality pastel pens are created by hand by masters. Pastels are particularly challenging, but produce products in the range are designed and developed in Caran D'Aches Geneva workshop. Available in 84 rich and vibrant colours with a fine texture and generous shading properties. The purity of the colours with a high concentration of ultra-fine pigments with the powerful coverage and exceptional light fastness. The large protrusion (4.7mm diameter) provides strength and rich texture that will work well with most surfaces, then the angle and contact pressure can be varied for coarse or fine, density or light lines. The hexagonal rounded shape of the barrel reduces the risk of rolling and falling away from a desk or work surface, and the colour cap matches the lead colour for easy identification of each pencil. Each pen is made from high quality cedar wood for best results when sharpened with a blade. The texture and colour of the surface directly affect the final result of your work.
