If the water falls directly from the cloud in the purest form onto the sensor and does not trigger it, then it is sufficient if it runs over a small board or from a canopy. Then the water has absorbed so much dirt that it is electrically conductive and triggers the sensor. Of course, install the sensor at an angle so that the water continues to runs down. Operating voltage: 12 V / DC. Power consumption without heating: approx. 8 mA. Power consumption with heating: approx. 160 mA. Relay contact: 1 x on, max. 25 V, 2.5 A load capacity. Sensor heating: automatic when rain contact occurs. LED 1: Indicates that the rain sensor is in operation. LED 2: Indicates that the rain is reported and the relay has switched on.
