Product Description In contrast to conventional indicator papers, the indicator dyes of pH-Fix sticks are substantively bound to the cellulose fibres (DE-PS 24 36 257). As a result the possibility of the colour bleeding, even in strongly basic solutions, is avoided. These have a CE-mark for in-vitro-diagnostics 98/79/EG or medical products 93/42/EWG. These strips meet the special demands of the health care professionals and ensure safe results for medical pH testing. These are also certified according to the medical device directive ISO 12485, so they are CE-marked for professional use as well as for patient self testing. These pH test strips can be used to determine body acidity such as urine, gastric juice, saliva and vaginal pH. The test strips use litmus paper to show a colour change depending on the pH of the sample. This coloured paper can then be checked against the colour chart on the front of the packaging to compare the colours to determine the pH. The graduations for these tests are pH 6.0, 6.4, 6.7, 7.0, 7.3, 7.6, 7.9, 8.2, 8.4, 8.6, 8.8, 9.1, 9.5, 10.0 Directions 1. Dip the test strip into the sample. 2. Wait for the color to change. 3.
