The flap falls nicely over the pannier, making it water-repellent and offering ample protection against light rain. However, if you want it to protect your gear against heavier showers, we recommend buying a New Looxs rain cover for single bike panniers to go with it. All panniers are waterproof when protected by a rain cover. The Cameo Messenger is perfectly suited as a bike pannier for commuting to work or school. The main compartment closes with a zip and a snap fastener. There is an extra zip pocket on the front for things like a purse or phone. The shoulder strap is adjustable and has a pad which makes it comfortable to wear over your shoulder. Mounting system Quickly attaches to the bike and is easy to remove again too with New Looxs plastic hooks. As a result, this pannier will fit on practically every kind of bike, including electric ones. You can attach the pannier even more securely to the bike with the Velcro strap between the hooks. When removing the bag from the bicycle the hooks can be hidden away, so they are no longer in the way and the bag now looks like an ordinary shoulder bag.
