- Characteristics: Calluna Heathers are well-known plants for their ability to change colour all year-round and low maintenance habit. They are fairly easy to grow and drought tolerant. Be sure to situate heathers where they can get at least half a day of sunlight.
- Growth & Spread: Over time, Calluna Heathers can grow to around 60cm in height with a spread of between 70-90cm.
- Period of Interest: It is recommended to plant in early Springtime for gardens or Autumn for in containers. Calluna Heathers will fully flourish through July - September.
- Plant Advice: Limit pruning to only trimming any faded flowers after flourishing. These heathers require good drainage, so will tolerate slightly heavier soil, acid soil or alkaline soil. Water the plants once or twice a week when the soil is dry throughout the first season - this will encourage rapid and vigorous growth.
