Calla palustris, commonly known as Bog Arum, is a charming and unusual marginal pond plant. Its pure white, arum-like flowers rise elegantly above glossy, heart-shaped leaves from early summer, bringing a refined beauty to the shallow edges of ponds or bog gardens. As the seasons turn, the flowers give way to dull red berries, adding continued interest into autumn.
