- CABBAGE RED ROOKIE F1 SEEDS: Great tasting, dense round heads can exceed 3.5kg and are very slow to bolt. Can also be harvested early as smaller baby heads if space is limited. Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance. Part of the seed range produced by Mr Fothergill's Seeds in partnership with the RHS.
- SOW: February to April, HARVEST: July to October, SEEDS: 50 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN - February to April. WHERE - In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost and firm gently. Keep at approx. 13C and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days.
- CARE - When large enough to handle transplant 5cm apart in trays of compost. Gradually acclimatise to outside conditions (avoid frosts). Transplant to final position with 60cm between plants and rows. Firm in well, keep moist and weed free.
- HARVEST - July to October.
- TIP: To prevent disease rotate brassica crops each year.
