- Broccoli ‘Cezar’ is an heirloom variety that makes large dense green clusters with a slightly purple hue. The plant has a relatively short vegetative phase of 80-90 days and is resistant to disease.
- Growing: sow the seeds under cover in April/May or direct sow outside in May. Grow the plants in 50 x 35 x 50cm spacings. Harvest in July/ August.
- If being used as an after-crop for the autumn. Sow in July/August in cool location and transplant to final growing location and harvest in September to November.
- Expect to harvest 1.5-2.5kg of broccoli per plant. The crop is suitable for freezing and canning as well as eating fresh.
