Product description
Product Description Lambeosaurus lived 80 to 73 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period in North and Central America. It grew to 15 m long, weighed approx. 7 t, and belonged to the genus of duckbill dinosaurs (hadrosaurids), which had a broadened, flattened snout with a hatchet blade. Its several many teeth (around 700) were arranged in rows to form dental batteries that the animals used to crunch up hardy plants, such as the remains of conifers. Lambeosaurus were herd animals that often resided near water holes. Despite their long rear and short front legs, they mostly moved on all fours, only running on their hind legs to escape danger. On its skull, Lambeosaurus had a hollow, comb-like bony crest, which it probably used to produce trumpet-like sounds. In male animals, this bony crest is larger, leading us to believe that it played a role in courtship. Safety Warning not appropriate for children under the age of 3 Box Contains Figure
