Product Description The Asiatic Black Bear is also known as the White-chested or Moon Bear, due to the flash of white hair at the top of its chest. These animals have the usual, strong build of other bears, with strong, rounded heads and smallish eyes. They have large ears that sit fairly far apart, and powerful legs, all of which are similar in length, and five claws on each of their paws. Like all bears, the Asiatic Black Bear is a loner. They can be active by day or by night: although they are generally nocturnal, they often look for food during the day when they need more nourishment. They mostly move around at ground level, on all fours, although they can stand on their hind legs to reach food.
