Product Description Bulk Super Strength Krill Oil is an incredibly potent source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, with considerably higher amounts of EPA and DHA than equivalent quantities of our regular Krill Oil Softgels. If you’re looking for a potently dosed krill oil then our Super Strength Krill Oil softgels would be the choice for you. Krill are small ocean-dwelling, shrimp like crustaceans. They typically live in the Antarctic waters of the Southern Ocean. Krill are herbivorous and are at the bottom of the food chain, meaning that they are naturally free from contaminants such as heavy metals. Super Strength Krill Oil Provides a total of 315mg Omega 3 Fatty Acids per 2 softgel serving, of which 178mg is EPA & 82mg is DHA. The Krill used in our Super Strength Krill Oil is known as the Euphausia Superba, a sustainable Antarctic species. They are a fantastic source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids and naturally deep red in colour due to the Astaxanthin they contain. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid which must be consumed in the diet as the body is unable to synthesise this on its own, this prevents damage to the oil and is believed to have antioxidant properties when consumed. Each of Bulk Super Strength Krill Oil softgels contain 100μg Astaxanthin per serving. Where Krill Oil really differs from regular Omega 3 Fish Oils is due to the presence of phospholipids. Whereas the omega fatty acids in regular fish oils are supplied in a triglyceride format, Krill Oil almost exclusively supplies the beneficial fatty acids in a phospholipid format. Our Super Strength Krill Oil softgels also supply 566mg Phosphatidylcholine and 82.5mg Choline, meaning that they contribute to normal lipid metabolism, normal homocysteine metabolism and the maintenance of normal liver function.
