Build Point Mould Proof Silicone Sealant is a trade-quality acetoxy cure silicone designed for bathrooms, kitchens, shower rooms, sanitary joints, glazing and general sealing. The formula is made for wet and humid environments and helps resist mould and mildew while forming a flexible, watertight seal after curing. Suitable for common non-porous surfaces including glass, tiles, porcelain, aluminium, glazed surfaces, stainless steel and many painted surfaces, Build Point silicone is ideal for sealing around baths, basins, showers, kitchen sinks, worktops, tiles and sanitaryware. Its non-flowing formula is easy to apply with a standard caulking gun and can be smoothed before skinning for a clean, professional finish. Technical performance includes approx. 5–8 minute skin time, approx. 2mm curing rate per 24 hours, 25% movement capability and resistance to UV, weather, cold and water immersion after cure. For best results, apply to clean, dry surfaces free from dust, grease, oil and loose material. Always test adhesion and compatibility before full application. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, bitumen, natural stone or polycarbonate. Some metals such as copper and lead may be affected due to the acetoxy cure system. Anti-mildew formulas should not replace regular cleaning of joints.
