On the reverse of each card is a small quote relating to each species from the book A History of British Birds by William Yarrell, published 1843. Printed in the UK on carbon captured environmentally friendly, sturdy superior card stock and including FSC envelope helping protect the planet. Dick Twinney’s highly realistic and traditional artwork has gained international recognition making him one of Cornwall’s best known and loved artists. Over the years Twinney has provided illustrations for over 25 books which have sold worldwide. His wildlife art has featured on many series of collectors plates, greetings cards, giftware, limited edition fine art prints and his original paintings are in collections worldwide. Refusing to follow any trends in art or turn to a more contemporary way of painting, Twinney continues to paint in the traditional style of the artists he grew up with especially Archibald Thorburn and Charles Tunnicliffe, whose work he has emulated and been inspired by since childhood.
