Product description These dry ingredients are to make one batch of bulk substrate for your home grown mushroom grow (Step 3 on the Boomer Shroomer Beginner Mushroom Guide). All you need is a 5 gallon bucket with a lid and 16 cups of boiling water. Included is 500 grams of Coco Coir, 500 grams of Vermiculite, and 100 grams of Gypsum. Bulk Substrate Ingredients: 500 grams Coco Coir 500 grams Vermiculite 100 grams of Gypsum Needed At Home: 16 Cups Boiling Water 5-gallon bucket with lid First add the coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum to the 5-gallon bucket. Next, boil 16 cups of water. Once the water come to a complete boil, carefully pour into the 5-gallon bucket and then close the lid. Let it sit to pasteurize. After approximately 24 hours it is ready to use. Ideally keep insulated to aid the pasteurization process. Once it has cooled down, double check to make sure it is at field capacity and mix in with your colonized grain spawn. Safety Warning Note: Please use hand protection devices when adding boiling water. Avoid inhaling the ingredients.
