• SUITABLE APPLICATION: A minimum parallel joint width of 5mm is required with a minimum depth of 25mm. If the joint is less than 5mm wide, cracking may occur. Not suitable for V shaped/ tapered joints.
• PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: There may be occasional small lumps within the bag due to compression. Provided these can be easily broken-up by hand, it is suitable for use. If there are hard lumps, greater than 50mm diameter.
• APPLICATION IN THE WET: Joint-Fill cures by exposure to oxygen. If applied to solid bed applications, the joint must be kept dry until fully cured. If water is retained in the joint for long periods, rather than being allowed to pass through a permeable base, the joint may fail.
• PERMEABILITY: Joint-Fill is designed to be used as part of a permeable paving system, allowing water to drain from the paving surface. In certain circumstances, natural impurities from rainwater may be deposited on the surface of the cured joints.
• PERMANENT IMMERSION: Joint-Fill is not suitable for applications involving permanent immersion but it will withstand the typical UK wetdry weather cycles. To avoid standing water in joints for long periods, paved areas, beds and joints must be well drained.
