• 10-15cm tall starter plant sent in an 8cm pot. This plant is deciduous, therefore leafless between November and March. Grown in our nursery. The plant can be planted into the ground around June 2016.

This is an easy-to-grow tree with simple, serrated leaves (quite ornamental, and gives yellow Autumn colours) and numerous, strawberry sized fruits (drupes), which mature to dark red to black and has a very nice, sweet, slightly acidic taste and can be eaten as a whole. The plant has herbal importance too, and almost all parts are are used as a medicine. It is best to plant it into a sheltered spot, protected from cold winds and you can harvest the fruits from September. It prefers a sunny position and can be pruned.
