The EasyClip cuff makes it easier for you to put on and, in conjunction with inflation technology, ensures that blood pressure is measured efficiently and comfortably — completely without frustration. Simply clip the cuff onto your upper arm, close the Velcro fastener for a perfect fit and you're ready to start measuring. General information about blood pressure Blood pressure is the force with which the blood stream presses against the artery walls. Arterial blood pressure changes constantly over the course of a cardiac cycle . The blood pressure is always given in the form of two values. The highest pressure in the cycle is called systolic blood pressure. It occurs when the heart muscle contracts and the blood is pushed into the vessels as a result . The lowest is diastolic blood pressure, which occurs when the heart muscle has fully expanded again and fills the heart with blood. Blood pressure fluctuations are normal. Even with a repeat measurement, there can be considerable differences between the measured values. One-time or irregular measurements therefore do not provide reliable information about the actual blood pressure. A reliable assessment is only possible if you measure regularly under comparable conditions .
