Product Description Beaphar xtraVital guinea pig is a muesli-style small animal food supplied in gas-flushed bags for freshness and maximum palatability. The composition is appropriate for guinea pigs, with the correct amounts of protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C is provided in a readily available chelated form. Pre-biotic MOS is added to encourage a healthy gut-flora and digestion. One 1 kilogram bag will feed a typical guinea pig for 25 days. Indications Adult, Guinea Pig Ingredients Vegetables, cereals, derivatives of vegetable origin, (inc Mannan oligosaccharide 80mg/kg, Fructo oligosaccharide 57mg/kg), minerals Directions Guinea pigs should be fed twice a day, since this corresponds with the guinea pig’s natural feeding behaviour in the wild. Your guinea pig will take to the feed straight away because it is so tasty. However, for the first few days, keep an eye on food intake, and mix in a little of the old feed if necessary. An average guinea pig eats about 40 grams of XtraVital each day. Give the amount of feed that the animal eats up completely in one day. If there is some feed left over, give a little less feed the next day. Repeat this until the ideal amount has been found. Fresh feed, fresh hay and fresh drinking water should be given every day.
