Black Lava beads are naturally porous making them perfect as diffuser beads, use for aromatherapy. So you just drip just a couple of drops of whichever essential oil you are wanting to use on the beads. Roll them around to make sure it soaks into the beads and does not drip out. The beads are porous and will absorb the oil and then will act as a diffuser for the oils all day. You would want to put the oils as close to your nose as possible. But even if its around your neck the air around you will be filled with the essential oils. You may need to reapply during the day.
