- WHAT IS THE DUTCH OVEN? | A heavy, traditional cast iron pot and lid that is perfect for cooking, roasting, braising, frying, stewing and baking anywhere. It is mobile and flexible for use by the fireplace, barbecue or campfire.
- PRO3+ | The Ultimate Dutch ovens are preseasoned using the PRO3+ process, which consists of three seasoning phases. The registered process offers a number of advantages over conventionally preseasoned cast iron and has been specially developed by BBQ-Toro to provide an even better experience when cooking and grilling with cast iron.
- THE PROCESS | As with our pre-seasoned products, the first step in the process is to coat the cast iron with soya oil and bake it. However, the cast iron is then preseasoned using our specially developed process to create a higher quality and more robust patina. The third step is to repeat the conventional baking process.
- ADVANTAGES | The patina created by the PRO3+ process makes the cast iron less susceptible to rusting and, with its improved non-stick properties, prevents food from burning. With this special process, BBQ-Toro has brought unique cast iron products to the European market, which not only offer cast iron fans an improved grilling and cooking experience, but also reduce the cleaning and maintenance effort.
- PROPERTIES | The lid of the Dutch oven also has feet. Turn it upside down and you can use it as a grill pan or serving dish! The thermometer slot is very handy for checking the temperature without having to lift the lid.
