The monolith charcoal is a high-end charcoal from certified, European forests where only hardwoods such as beech, oak, ash and hornbeam are refined via the process of controlled retort. In this process, resulting tars and acids are extracted and you get an evenly charred, very energetic charcoal. The coarser sorting of 4 - 12 cm prevents the charcoal from being too dense in the fire box/charcoal basket and thus promotes optimal airflow. Thanks to the perfect charring, the coal can be ignited very quickly and you can reach temperature ranges of 200 - 250 °C in 10 - 15 minutes. With an energy value of 31,700 kJ / kg, you get a very long-lasting, very high heat if necessary. In combination with the storage properties of the Monolith grill, every long job will be done with just one filling of charcoal of approx. 3 kg. Application: - Fill the charcoal basket or fire box with high-quality, coarser charcoal. For best barbecue results, we recommend our Monolith charcoal. - Ignite the coal from above, close the lid and open the supply and exhaust air opening completely. Thanks to the fireplace effect, the grill is heated up in no time. - The grill temperature can then be controlled via the supply and exhaust air.
