Description Medieval ‘Burkhard’ cloak with hood, available in different colours for men and women This unisex cloak, also known as a cape or a half-circle cloak, is made from cotton fabric and finished with a large hood. Fastened with wooden button. Cloaks were an integral part of clothing throughout the medieval period and were worn by people of all professions. It is therefore perfect as a costume for Vikings, LARP, wizards, and witches or simply for fancy dress. They were available in various lengths, with or without a hood and in various cuts. The cloak offered protection and warmth in bad weather. If the cloak did not provide enough protection, it could be worn with a gugel hood over the top. Please note: The cotton fabric is not water-repellent, but it can be treated with waterproofing spray to protect against light rain.
