The BAT-SAFE is the only protection available on the market for LiPo batteries that also works. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aviation engineer and avid model pilot. The thought came to him when his house almost burst into flames by a LiPofire. The BAT-SAFE is designed so that the batteries can be charged and stored naturally. The charging cables are guided to the outside through a flame-retardant opening. In the event of a fire of the battery, the resulting pressure inside can escape to the outside. This is done through the upper ventilation holes, at the same time the smoke is also filtered so that no harmful substances succeed to the outside. Inside the box, up to 800° can occur in the event of a fire. Thanks to the special insulation of the box, the bottom and side wall get up to 80° hot. The emerging gas does not get hotter than 150°.
