The box is a triangular shape, the shelf in front of the entrance hole allows the barn owl to land and eat. An access hole is provided for cleaning. It also has a perch on top for the owl to hunt from. The box is made of 9mm exterior plywood, the roof is felted and there is an astro turf perch on the apex. The boxes are painted with a water based wood preservative this will need reapplying yearly. A recycled plastic fixing bracket comes with the box.
