Baldwin hydraulic filter bases are used to add a filter to an unfiltered system, or to transform a canister system to a spin-on filter style. Baldwin designed a two-piece base featuring die cast aluminium construction with an integral threaded steel stud, which is stronger than aluminium studs used by the leading competitor. Baldwin hydraulic bases are available with or without 25 and 50 psi integral by-pass valves and feature the unique capability to accommodate indicators on either side to facilitate mounting versatility.
