The complete King recordings of this bona fide legend of post WWII blues shouting, brought together for the first time. If not as prolific, Vinson was as big a star in his heyday - the period covered by these recordings - as his label-mates Wynonie Harris & Roy Brown, & remained a popular draw on the blues circuit right up to his death in 1988. These tracks were cut between 1949 & 1952, & include the sequel to his classic 'Cherry Red' & a previously unissued original version of the Wynonie Harris hit, 'Sittin' on It All the Time'. 26 tracks in all plus 8-page booklet of notes on the artist & photos.
