Product Description Baileys Better Biome is a targeted digestive supplement that combines prebiotics, probiotic yeast and postbiotics to support the horse’s gut microbiome. Digestive balance can be disrupted by stress, dietary change, travel, competition or antibiotic use, leading to loose droppings or reduced feed efficiency. Better Biome includes a short-chain fructo-oligosaccharide prebiotic to support beneficial bacteria, Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast to aid fibre digestion and help stabilise hindgut conditions, and postbiotic fermentation products to provide a consistent supply of beneficial microbial metabolites. Suitable for horses and ponies of all ages, it can be fed short term or as part of ongoing digestive management. A 1.5kg tub lasts 75 days. Horses – 40g (2 x 25ml scoops) per day. A 1.5kg tub lasts 38 days. Better Biome is designed to be added to a horse’s daily bucket feed and, provided it is stored in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight, will keep well so can be used as and when the need arises. It can be given as a short-term solution in response to a more acute disruption to the microbial population, such as after a course of antibiotics or, if the microbiome is likely to be compromised indefinitely, such as with old age, it may be used long term to counteract the problem. For extreme cases, up to double the suggested quantities may be given, for a short 'loading' period.
