• No tools required for installation. The waterer has three clips on the back that snap onto the cage bars. To attach, press the clips over two or three horizontal wires. The clips hold the unit securely and stop it from tilting when the bird drinks. To remove, pull the unit away from the cage. To fill, unscrew the cap at the top, add water, replace the cap, and hang it back. The whole process takes less than a minute. The clips do not damage the cage coating.
• One waterer works for several small pet species beyond birds. Use it in a budgie or cockatiel cage for fresh water. Attach it to a finch aviary for a steady supply. • The waterer uses a gravity feed system. When the bird drinks from the trough at the bottom, the water level drops, and air enters the bottle through a small vent.
