The Ci1-R2-NR negative rake carbide tip is 14.6mm square. It fits the Full-Size Easy Rougher and Pro Easy Rougher. Negative Rake Carbide Cutters virtually eliminate chipping and catches when turning resins, acrylic, and other man-made materials. Excellent results when turning very hard woods, and very smooth finishing cuts. Very effective for hollowing, allowing for smooth catch-free passes. Each of the four edges is slightly curved with a radius of 2", hence the R2 suffix. The radius along the edge, minimises the risk of a catch from a sharp corner when moving the chisel from side-to-side. When one side of the cutter eventually dulls, simply rotate to a fresh cutting edge and continue turning. When all edges are used, simply replace the cutter.
