- Common Name: Japanese Laurel or Spotted Laurel
- Characteristics: Aucuba Mr Goldstrike is a bushy evergreen shrub that produces a spotted golden-yellow and green, variegated design throughout its leaves. This male variety will not produce red berries in the Summer and Autumn months like female Aucuba plants will, but small purple flowers will appear in Spring.
- Plant Advice: Aucubas should be planted in moist, well-drained soil and kept in full sunlight at the best of times. It will not thrive well in waterlogged soil, so avoid overwatering the plant. Once a week watering will suffice until the plant is established. After that period, it will survive periods of drought.
