Similar in working principle to a little badger plane but used in the same way as a shoulder plane for fine tuning the fit of tenons and long grain and crossgrain rebates. The heavily skewed blade is skew mounted in the body, reducing the effective pitch which gives outstanding performance on endgrain and simultaneously allows the plane to cut into an internal corner.
