Aronia x prunifolia 'Viking' is the perfect way to add some stunning colour to your autumn displays with the foliage turning to vivid shades of orange, red and purple. Clusters of fragrant white blooms that sometime have a pink tinge appear in May and June then the lovely round black berries will follow, which the birds will appreciate in autumn and winter. Ideal for adding late colour to your borders or woodland areas. Grow Chokeberry in a wide range of different soils, they can cope with drought conditions as well as waterlogged ground, once plants are established. They will grow very well in slightly acidic soils. Grow in sun or light shade. Aronia plants require very little maintenance, just trim to fit space and remove any dead, diseased or damaged growth.
