When supplied directly from the PC power supply via SATA power plug, the power supply is interrupted in standby, which can be advantageous for permanently illuminated input devices, for example. A maximum of 1000 mA current is available via SATA power supply, divided into a total of 500 mA for ports 1, 2 and 3 or ports 4, 5, 6 and 7. Easy to install: the hub can be mounted directly 20 mm above the motherboard, corresponding holes with the standard ATX distance are available.
