Easily Britain’s number one Eating Apple, Braeburn Apple Trees are easy to grow and look after in most gardens throughout the UK and will produce huge crops of their well known, crisp and juicy fruits. Grafted onto an M9 rootstock, these trees will only grow to about 8 feet tall and so can be grown in even the smallest of gardens. The Apples can be harvested from October onwards and will store well for up to four months, meaning you can still be eating your own Home Grown Fruit well after Christmas! Plant apple trees in any well drained soil in a sheltered sunny position. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the planting hole and drive the stake into the ground to support the tree. Staking after planting may result in damage to the root ball. Plant fruit trees at their original soil level and firm them into the ground. Fasten the tree to the stake using a tree tie, and water well.
