Discover the charm of Anemone nemorosa, commonly known as the Wood Anemone. Despite their delicate appearance, these hardy rhizomes pack a punch, ready to transform your garden into a spring spectacle. Planted in generous drifts, they unfurl a carpet of divided, dark-green foliage topped with dazzling white blooms, creating a truly enchanting scene. These plants flourish at the base of deciduous trees and shrubs, making them a perfect companion to bluebells, and are ideal for creating naturalistic displays in woodland settings. These small dormant rhizomes possess remarkable stored energy, ensuring they develop into perfect garden starter plants. Supplied as bare roots, they are ready for immediate planting to establish themselves for the coming season. Embrace the resilience and beauty of the Wood Anemone for stunning ground cover in damp, lightly shaded areas. How to Grow Light: Prefers lightly shaded spots, ideal for under trees and shrubs. Temperature: Plant in spring or autumn. Keep rhizomes cool and moist until planted. Watering: Water well after planting and keep soil consistently moist, especially during dry spells. Feeding: Generally not required if planted in fertile soil. A light mulch in autumn can be beneficial. Humidity: Benefits from moist conditions found in shady, woodland environments.
