Product Description With its incomparably silky look, our Anchor pearl thread is a mercerised, 2-thread, lightly twisted yarn that enhances and enhances embroidery. Due to the bead rotation and the combination of yarn thicknesses, it is often used for hardanger embroidery, as the thread lays nicely on the fabric surface and thus results in a pretty, uniform embroidery. Anchor pearl thread is also used for cross stitch as well as for free embroidery and other counted embroidery techniques. Often it is also used for crocheting. Anchor pearl yarn is made from 100% extra long Egyptian Giza cotton fibres. Anchor pearl thread is tested for friction, sweat and water resistance. Plain yarns can be washed up to 95º, multicoloured and ombre yarns up to 60º and metallic polyester yarns up to 30º.
