- ALCHEMILLA MOLLIS SEEDS: A charming herbaceous perennial with scalloped, velvety leaves and frothy sprays of long lasting flowers. Perfect for border edging or eye-catching ground cover.
- Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
- SOW: February to June, FLOWERS: June to September, HEIGHT: 60cm, SPREAD: 70cm, SEEDS: 200 Approx.
- FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – February to April. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-18C. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear.
- When large enough to handle transplant into small pots of compost. Grow on at approx. 13-15℃. Gradually acclimatise to outside conditions from May (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position from late summer onwards. FLOWERS – June to September, the following year.
- FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - May to June. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 25cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. CARE - When large enough thin to 10cm apart. Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position from September to October. FLOWERS – June to September, the following year.
- TIP: Self seeds freely so remove dead heads after flowering.
