Product Description This Airflow square stainless steel external grille offers a more aesthetic appearance than more traditional plastic grilles. They are more weather proof and are not affected by ultra violet rays like some plastics can be. This grille complies with the requirements of the Domestic Ventilation Compliance guide 2010 that states terminal opening is a minimum of 90% of the free area of the ducting being used. This free area ensures that the grille is not creating too much pressure for the fan to push against, the fan would not be as efficient were the free area of the grille less than 90%. In the case of this gravity flap design grille it is important to factor in the extra resistance of the flap. This fan is suitable for use with most mechanical extractor fans including our QuietAir120 and Aventa range of fans. It can also be used with all our Duplexvent Mechanical Heat Recovery Units (MVHR). This grille comes with a gravity flap to prevent small mammals and birds from accessing the ducting attached to it, this gravity flap is stylishly covered by the square shape cowl. It can be attached to rigid pipe or flexible pipe and is screwed to the external wall This cowl has been designed to be inserted into 125mm flexible or rigid ducting.
