Once raised and locked in position, the support arm can be used as a dual purpose grab bar and support. The support arm from Aidapt is suitable for use throughout the home, including the bathroom, and features a hinge to allow the arm to be folded up if necessary giving you support when you want it, with fold-away convenience when you don't.
