Ahsen Lambda Karagen is a high quality, natural algae based thickener specially developed for the art of Ebru (water marbling). This package contains 250g of pure λ carages - perfect for professional and creative applications. Compared to traditional thickeners such as Traganth, lambda carages are much easier to use. It does not form a gel structure, dissolves quickly in both cold and warm water and provides an even, homogeneous solution - without heating. In Ebu art, λ-Karagen increases the viscosity of the water, prevents the colours from sinking and allows optimal flow on the water surface. This creates clean, detailed patterns with clear colour gradients - even with fine designs. This product is derived from a special type of red algae also known as Irish moss. Lambda carages are food safe, odourless, tasteless and contains no chemical additives - it is harmless to health and also suitable for use in schools or creative workshops. For best results, a dosage of 8 g of carrageenan per 1 litre of water is recommended. The preparation is best done with warm water and a fast-rotating mixer (e.g. drill).
