Product description Agar agar is a natural vegetable gelatin used to make jellies, puddings, custards & sauces. Agar is boiled in water until it dissolves then the solution added to moulds to make jelly; and is added to puddings, custards & sauces as a thickening agent. If you are vegetarian or vegan, Agar is an ideal substitute for using gelatine; it is not made from animal products, just naturally growing sea plants. This the highest quality food grade Agar Powder and is perfect for use in your favourite dessert. Directions Boil 1 tablespoon of agar agar in 1 cup of water until dissolved. For jellies, pour the solution into moulds. For puddings, custards, and sauces, add the solution as a thickening agent.
