A stunning variety that is a combination of mixed pastel shades that creates a tapestry of colour throughout the summer months. Wide flat flower heads make these perfect for cottage gardens and are great when planted with swaying grasses. Ideal for attracting pollinating insects and also make ideal cut flowers. Plant out Achillea plants into any well-drained soil in full sun. Achillea plants dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. Once established, Yarrow is reasonably drought tolerant and requires little maintenance. In summer, stake the tall flower stems with garden canes to prevent them drooping and leave faded flower heads intact at the end of summer to enjoy an attractive autumn seed head display. When the first frosts blacken the stems, cut them down to ground level. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of yarrow in spring. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
