ACE Instruments - Precision or nothing. The ACE Instruments AFM-5 is a digital electrochemical alcohol testing device. It can be operated by only one button and and shows reliable test results in mg/L. The tests with this breathalyser can be conducted in a mode using the smartphone App “Alcovisor” (from the App Store or from Google Play). Please not that no other smartphone operating systems and no tablets can be used. In this App you can change the limit line which means you can set the legal limit yourself (this setting has got influence on showing the test results without using the App, see explanation below). A second possibility for conducting a test is to use the ACE AFM-5 in a stand-alone mode (without the App “Alcovisor”). In this mode the test result is shown with a remaining or blinking and remaining or blinking red light. Green light = OK, you are below the legal limit set as limit line in the App. Red light = Danger, you have reached or exceeded the legal limit. Interpreting the test result: If your test result e.g. is 0.20mg/L then this means an alcohol concentration in your breath of 0.20mg/L.
