What is it? A solar powered unit that keeps your car battery topped up. Why do I need it? Vehicle batteries lose some of their charge when sat idle or after many short journeys. Alarm systems, central locking and onboard computer systems all drain the battery : this trickle charger combats that drain. What is it suitable for? Most car batteries and caravans, boats etc. It does NOT, however, do the job of a standard battery charger. What isn't it for? Dead, fully discharged or faulty batteries. Vehicles kept out of direct sunlight. You may need a more powerful charger if your battery is flat. How do I know it is working? A blue LED light will flash.
