A high quality nonwoven is used as the base material, which consists predominantly of pulp and fabrics, which is extracted from wood. The FSC-Mix-Label characterizes the utilisation of wood out of controlled, responsible and sustainable sources. This dimensional stability of the nonwoven prevents the expansion as well as the shrinking of the wallpaper, which enables the handling without to soak the wallpaper for a short time. Thereby it is optional to paste either the wallpaper or the wall directly, which is very easy to handle even for unpractised do-it-yourself. Through the vinyl surface the wallpaper is very sturdy and lends – depending on the production process – to a one-of-a-kind gloss. Furthermore nonwoven wallcoverings can be easily stripped off dry completely, they are good light resistant and they are -in a large part- scrub resistant.
