Secondary Glazing Magnetic Windows are an inventive, cost-effective approach to decrease heat loss and energy expenditure. Our Glazing Panels are constructed from 4mm Clear Acrylic and a coloured 25mm wide edge is applied, to obscure the magnetic strip and adhesive from view. Pre-applied premium magnetic strips ensure a good seal with minumin installation time. We manufacture our own premium colour-coordinated stainless steel strips to guard against corrosion, and pre-apply a thick very high bond adhesive tape to ensure a superior adhesion to your window frame and a strong draft seal. Our system has been designed and made in our factory, using pre-applied premium materials to reduce your installation time and the potential for errors. We do not supply common Ferrous metal tape for DIY installation, as in our experience it does not provide a good magnetic surface or adhere well to window frames, which makes it not best suited for this application. Standard Specification For Magnetic Tape: Width 19mm Thickness: 1.5mm Adhesive: Premium 3M Tape High Pull force: 180g pull force per cm length Acrylic Border: A 25mm wide coloured border of your choice is applied to the Acrylic to obscure the view of adhesive provide a professional appearence. Acrylic Window: 4mm Clear Acrylic which has very high 92% light transmission similar to glass. Acrylic is preferred as it is economically priced and provides 17x more strength that glass and stops up to 98% of UV rays. Unlike Polycarbonate Acrylic is colourless and can be polished if scratched. When entering your window frame sizes, Reduce size to allow 10mm gap between Acrylic and walls for easy installation.
