For hoses that have stretched over time, warm the end in hot water for ten seconds before fitting. This softens the plastic and creates a tighter seal. Winter-Ready Advice Before the first frost, remove the caps and drain any residual water from the hose. Expanding ice can crack both the cap and the hose. Store the caps in a labelled bag with your irrigation fittings – tiny parts vanish easily. Pressure Reminder Designed for low-pressure drip systems (under 3 bar). Not suitable for high-pressure mains hoses or pressure washers. If you see bulging at the cap, your line pressure is too high – add a pressure regulator upstream.
