Chimney attachment / chimney hood for flue pipe diameter: 100 mm - 200 mm. The wind channel organises an ideal combustion and furthermore it is protected by the chimney from external influences such as rain or snow. Suitable for use with coal, wood, gas, oil and smokeless fuels. Stainless steel construction Material thickness: 0.4 mm. Highly effective in preventing downdraught and increasing ventilation. Has a CE certificate. Should be placed at least 6m away from the combustion chamber. The main areas of application are the following: - Fresh air intakes. - Exhaust systems. - Natural ventilation (e.g. underground car parks, hot operations). - Ventilation of lift shafts. Has a CE certificate; (EN1856.01 – 2010) (EN1856.02 – 2009). Delivered fully assembled and ready to install; installation directly on the chimney exit. Material: rust-proof stainless steel, heat resistant: up to max. 400° Celsius. The balaclava has been aerodynamically designed to maximise wind flow to reduce overdraft or updraft, which draws heat from the room into the chimney, resulting in excessive fuel consumption and a "cold" room. Independent testing shows a minimum fuel saving of 35%, while some customers have seen savings of over 50% in the first year of use, giving a short payback period, especially if you have a fire or stove during the winter. The balaclava is made of stainless steel and is maintenance-free.
