The Maxi-Retail Child Safety Magnetic Key for Cupboard Locks is a spare key for our Maxi-Retail locks. Made from sturdy ABS plastic with a strong internal magnet. Compatibility: Although we have sold many of these, we cannot guarantee that the magnet will have the same direction of polarity as a lock from a different manufacturer. If these are purchased to be used for a non Maxi-Retail lock, hopefully it works fine. However if it doesn't it will probably mean that the polarity is the opposite way round. If it doesn't work: The easiest solution to try is to simply hold the magnetic key the other way round so that the handle of the key touches the cupboard.
