This hose is designed to connect two water storage containers, such as water butts, rain barrels, or storage tanks, allowing water to flow into the second container once the first is full. Additionally, it can serve as an overflow pipe to divert excess water to a drain or soakaway when your containers reach capacity. The hose has a 1" internal diameter and is available in lengths from 1 to 5 meters, suitable for most applications. It features an external nylon wire spiral that provides two benefits: flexibility and strength. This design ensures the hose won't kink under pressure, even if stepped on. For a secure fit onto 1" connectors, apply a small amount of washing-up liquid to the inside of the hose, start inserting the connector, and then pour hot water over the hose's exterior. The heat will temporarily soften the material, making it easier to attach. Exercise caution when handling hot water. Once the hose cools, it will contract to form a watertight seal. The hosetails included in this listing require a 26mm hole and come with a nut and washer to ensure a watertight connection. These fittings are available in both elbow and straight configurations for your convenience.
